Gawad Parangal and Wall Climbing

My semestral break officially started last Monday, but we've been busy practicing our college's intermission for the Gawad Parangal held yesterday at PGH Social Hall. That is why I was still out of the house almost everyday. We sang "Seasons of Love" (all singers were 3rd years) which was really a good performance (according to some "ka-PH" present at the awarding, well, even I enjoyed it! It really sounded good!) and danced (interpretative) the "Earth Song" (together with the 4th years), which was on the other hand (as for my part), gone badly... hehe... 'Yan ang napapala ng hindi uma-attend ng practice at hindi dumadating on time.
Anyway there's no use in sulking, so after the awarding, I decided to go to my scheduled wall climbing activity with my high school friends. Ryan also decided to join us. At first, he was hesistant, kasi nga naman baka daw ma-out of place siya, but I assured him that he'll not be at buti na lang pumayag Daddy niya kahit na nun lang siya nagpa-alam.
I met up with my friends at Megamall and Ryan went home to change clothes since he haven't got the "pang-climb" attire.. Hehe..
At around 7:30 (I'm not sure.. hehe) we were all at the place (that's Power Up at Pasig) and at 8 we had our orientation on how to wear your harness properly, how to belay (if that's the right term for it) and the signals to shout if you're ready to climb. It was my first time to try this thing out so when I was asked to climb for us to try all the procedures, my knees or should I say my entire legs get shaky after I successfully climbed at the top. But the feeling was really satisfying! Accomplishing something I've dreamt of doing for so long was really a fulfillment!
And so after climbing (once) at the "Beginner's Wall" (I don't know what they call it, or perhaps I wasn't listening when our instructor said it), we tried the other walls but unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the walls I climbed, almost thru but I wasn't able to reach the topmost part of the wall. Hmp! I have an excuse for that since my muscles can no longer take the strain it had after the dance rehearsals.. Hehe...
Next time, I hope I could do better. At sana, marami na rin kaming umakyat.
Btw, I forgot to mention our instructor's name. It was JM and he was a co-member of my bestfriend, Tin, at UST's Mountaineering Club.

Almost Thru

3rd Year, First Sem is almost thru for everybody. But for me? Hehehe... Hindi pa... I still got one alanganing subject, and that's Biochemistry! But I won't spend my time worrying about that. I'm too tired to worry and think that I might fail the subject. Hihintayin ko na lang yung results ng finals tapos kung pangit, then that's when I'll start to worry! Haha!
So much has happened during this first sem. Toxic was the word to describe it. Well, kahit naman ata anong year sa college, pag UP ka, toxic talaga... But despite the ka-toxican, this was also the year where our batch has gotten closer. Kahit naman papano hindi na kami maxadong ilang sa isa't isa... This was also the year that our barkada spent much time with each other. Kahit pa manood lang ng movies madalas naming gawin, masaya pa rin kasi kahit papano may time na kami na mag-detox ng sama-sama. Nakuha pa nga naming mag-Baywalk after Fluid Lounge eh... Hehehe...
Third year 1st sem was an exciting part of our college life. Third year 2nd sem is another story. Kwento ko na lang after... Hehehe...

Sem-Ender PHarty!

Last Friday, October 07, was one of the best days of my college life. The sem has almost ended and we were able to have the college's sem-ender party. Although not all PH students were there (only the Juniors and Seniors and some alumni), since the Freshies and Sophomores were still busy about acad stuffs (we know the feeling, trust us!), we still had sooo much fun! Actually, we, the juniors, were really excited over the party even if we still have our BIOSTAT exam that afternoon. Tricia even made 3 plans (Plans A,B,C, she decided to wear plan A) of what to wear that evening; Krissy had her "dress rehearsal" the day before and Kris bought a new blouse!

Anyway, before I tell what happened during the party, just like to share what happened that morning. I said earlier that we had our 4th exam on BIOSTAT that's why I decided to go to school early. Magpapaturo kasi ko kay Ryan. I decided to study at the Univ Lib as I wait for Ryan. As I was giving my ID to the guard, I dropped my wallet-cellphone and key holder (all in one) and checked it immediately for some damage on my cellphone. None. So I studied there for about 30 minutes after realizing I left my calculator at our place! Heck! No choice. I have to get it back. So I did, and at the moment Ryan texted me that he's on his way to school. That's when I realized that there was something wrong with my phone since it's always "message full". I checked and saw that my Inbox had no messages on it already! F*ck! What happened?? Well, i dunno. But that incident upset me that morning.

Then that afternoon, as I was about to take the exam, somebody texted me and saw that it was Nino. Yihee! KILIG! But I really got furious when I read the message. I won't post it here but the message was really that "bad". So, yun na nga, I got so destracted about the message I wasn't able to study properly. Good thing the exam was quite easy...

Exam's over and finally, we got to party (the place was called FLUID LOUNGE)!!!
Although the weather's not so nice that evening, we still manage to go to the place walking the streets of Maria Orosa and taking the pedicab after realizing the streets were flooded!

The evening was sooo much fun! We danced all night and drank some. I drank two bottles of alcoholic drinks! Tomadera! We stopped dancing and partying, not because we got tired, but because it was time for Tricia to leave (that's almost 1 am). But we're not sorry for stopping. We really had fun. We saw how some of our batchmates got to party and it was really funny! Meron din palang kalokohang itinatago itong mga ito. Except for Macoy, of course, beacuse she's always like that. But she's really hyper that evening...

So there, we walked to go to Kris' place because Tricia has to meet her father there. Unfortunately, Francine got her shoe strap broken so the five of us (Tricia, Krissy, Sha, Francine and I) waited for Tricia's dad at the corner of P.Gil and Taft Ave. Tito Collantes drove us to Kris' place then after that Tricia went home. Ang sad... Umuwi na si Tricia.

The 7 of us (Rox, Ryan, Sha, Kris, Krissy, Francine and I) agreed to go to Roxas Blvd and ate at Max's. Francine immediately left because her Achie fetched her. Then, we decided to go back to Fluid Lounge. Sadly, Diana lost her phone (somebody got it from her bag). We left the place at 4:15 am.

They head to Rox's place and I went home. The night was really tiring but, who cares!? We did really enjoy it! I love you guys!

Pahabol na Sulat (P.S.): We ran into Sir Robidillo and Sir Trinidad (twice!) that evening... Wala lang!

Just a thought...
