Gawad Parangal and Wall Climbing

My semestral break officially started last Monday, but we've been busy practicing our college's intermission for the Gawad Parangal held yesterday at PGH Social Hall. That is why I was still out of the house almost everyday. We sang "Seasons of Love" (all singers were 3rd years) which was really a good performance (according to some "ka-PH" present at the awarding, well, even I enjoyed it! It really sounded good!) and danced (interpretative) the "Earth Song" (together with the 4th years), which was on the other hand (as for my part), gone badly... hehe... 'Yan ang napapala ng hindi uma-attend ng practice at hindi dumadating on time.
Anyway there's no use in sulking, so after the awarding, I decided to go to my scheduled wall climbing activity with my high school friends. Ryan also decided to join us. At first, he was hesistant, kasi nga naman baka daw ma-out of place siya, but I assured him that he'll not be at buti na lang pumayag Daddy niya kahit na nun lang siya nagpa-alam.
I met up with my friends at Megamall and Ryan went home to change clothes since he haven't got the "pang-climb" attire.. Hehe..
At around 7:30 (I'm not sure.. hehe) we were all at the place (that's Power Up at Pasig) and at 8 we had our orientation on how to wear your harness properly, how to belay (if that's the right term for it) and the signals to shout if you're ready to climb. It was my first time to try this thing out so when I was asked to climb for us to try all the procedures, my knees or should I say my entire legs get shaky after I successfully climbed at the top. But the feeling was really satisfying! Accomplishing something I've dreamt of doing for so long was really a fulfillment!
And so after climbing (once) at the "Beginner's Wall" (I don't know what they call it, or perhaps I wasn't listening when our instructor said it), we tried the other walls but unfortunately I wasn't able to finish the walls I climbed, almost thru but I wasn't able to reach the topmost part of the wall. Hmp! I have an excuse for that since my muscles can no longer take the strain it had after the dance rehearsals.. Hehe...
Next time, I hope I could do better. At sana, marami na rin kaming umakyat.
Btw, I forgot to mention our instructor's name. It was JM and he was a co-member of my bestfriend, Tin, at UST's Mountaineering Club.
